Is Michael Chandler the best Lightweight in the world!

When you think of premier fighters and one of the best fighters outside of the UFC, you cannot mention this man. He won his first 12 fights and even won the Bellator world title not once but twice. He has defeated the likes of Eddie Alvarez, Patricky Freire, and former UFC Lightweight Benson Henderson. With a record of 16-4 and a very controversial stoppage by injury, Chandler will now be looking for a rematch with the man he lost it to in Brent Primus. Since Patricky Freire seems to be next in line, Chandler will either wait for the winner of that match or fight someone to stay active. He's definitely UFC material and could see some great fights put together from the UFC roster but Bellator is where he needs to stay. Bellator is picking up talent from the UFC left and right and great talent at best and it's only a matter of time before Bellator gets all the best fighters in the world. Bellator has already 6 new faces and all top contenders in the UFC now imagine if a piece of the Lightweight division comes into the mix. The Lightweight division would be at its peak not just for Bellator but for MMA in general. Michael Chandler though has a edge on a lot of fighters in my opinion. He's athletic and versatile and he gets better every single fight because of his involvement with the Blackzilians. Personally I would love to see him fight a Khabib, Alvarez (again), or even Mcgregor but why move when they can come to you. If the new owners keep it up they won't have any employees to fight and everything will just scatter to Bellator. Bellator has that edge that the UFC needs right now and eventually will make new stars in MMA while using old ones as well. Bellator also knows what's best for its fighters and what's best for business as Scott Coker a lomg time MMA executive knows his ins and outs of the business.
